Partner With Us

Partnerships are critical to the work we do across the Southern region.

At the Cancer Society Southern, we believe that together, we can create a stronger, healthier future for our communities.

Partnering with us means joining a network of passionate, like-minded organisations and individuals dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer.

Whether through sponsorship of our events, support for ground-breaking research, or contributions to vital services like accommodation and cancer navigation, you can help us provide support to those who need it most.

Room Sponsorship

The Canterbury Cancer Centre provides a home away from home for individuals and families who must travel to Christchurch for life-saving cancer treatment. Your sponsorship can help ease the financial and emotional burden of a cancer diagnosis by ensuring that accommodation remains free of charge for those who need it most. By sponsoring a room, kitchen, lounge, or family apartment, your business or organisation will directly support thousands of families across the South Island. Your generosity will be acknowledged with naming rights to the sponsored space and recognition in the Centre’s foyer, as well as an annual impact report showing how your support has made a difference. Sponsorship options start from $7,500 + GST per year, with flexible payment terms available.

Local Heroes

Our Local Heroes programme has been created specifically for businesses that want to make an impact for their community. As a Local Hero, your contribution will be formally recognised, and you'll be provided with tools and resources that you can use within your business to show your support.

Event Sponsorship

At the Cancer Society, we are proud to stand alongside businesses and organisations that share our commitment to a cancer-free future. Our event sponsors play a vital role in helping us deliver essential services, raise awareness, and fund life-saving support for individuals and whānau across the South Island. By partnering with us, our sponsors are not just supporting an event — they’re investing in their community, their people, and a cause that touches every corner of our region. Together, we create meaningful moments, build awareness, and drive real change. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and shared vision of reducing the impact and incidence of cancer.

Vehicle Sponsorship

Every day, Cancer Society vehicles travel hundreds of kilometres across the South Island, ensuring people can access life-saving cancer treatment and support. By sponsoring a Cancer Society vehicle, your organisation becomes a visible force for good — helping to ease the burden of transport for patients and their whānau during one of the most challenging times of their lives. Your sponsorship directly fuels our mission, keeping our vehicles on the road and our support services within reach. In return, your brand is proudly displayed on the vehicle, showing your commitment to community wellbeing, and making a real difference, one journey at a time.
